Not resampling just uses whatever elevation data is present in the GPX file. That track for the Dark & White Peak perm works for me, I make it 3896m of climbing for 4AAA. If this continues to fail for you, maybe drop me an email to my AAA address and can investigate further.
Of course, this raises the issue that many perms have been grandfathered in from before this tool was around (as @motoko has previously flagged to me) so the AAA values can vary, it is on my list to address but will require a complete review of all perms, some of which have no GPX track available. Another exciting winter project awaits.

I thought I had published this but apparently not, will do this when I get home. For now you can make do by reading my dodgy code: https://github.com/aukgis/aaanalyser

The AAA grandfathering can also go both ways. Indeed many old perms never were evaluated.
When I road the Eightsome Reel 1500 this past August, the AAAanalyser actually suggested that I should have got a couple points for the section of the route up in the NW corner of Scotland.

My code for locating partial AAA sections within longer rides is the bit I'm most grateful for, before it was a laborious manual process of cutting the track up and so many of these would not have been identified. Now probably half of DIYs that get AAA are these because people naturally ride out from home into the hills so there are flatter start/end sections that pull the overall climbing rate down.

Anyone know who does this site:
https://perms.audax.uk/Wondering if they could add a AAA filter to it. I'm looking for AAA perms (or calendar events I can do as DIYs) out of London. AAAnfractious, Around Weald Expedition (AWE), Kings, Castles, Priests and Churches, Mr Pickwick's March Madness, etc

I went direct to that Perms map, so didn't see any of those notes. Ta.
The editor (perms-edit dot audax uk) has a spot to enter AAA points so maybe he has plans to add it.
Actually, that Perms search is probably better for me than the map anyway -it has a distance from postcode filter so I could limit it to 'sensible' options. Nice one.

I would like to get a light, breathable (i.e., mesh), hi vis vest that is compliant to EN 1150 or EN ISO 20471 standards. On a YACF thread related to PBP there was a recommendation for the Yoko one
[photo displays in Chrome, but not the Firefox browser for some reason]
available on ebay:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yoko-Hi-Vis-Open-Mesh-Waistcoat-Jacket-Mens-Breathable-Lightweight-Vest-HVW120/162423449844?Has any one tried this? My main concern is whether its EN ISO 20471 rating is genuine as, in addition to yellow and orange, it is available in all sorts of non hi vis colours including black!

Can't comment on that one but the best reflective gilets I've come across are raceviz. They meet the standards (at least the Dark Jacket and one of two others do) and are cut like normal cycling gilets. I've got a Rysy which is pretty good. My only issue is that it isn't fully windproof, but that seems to be the type of fabric they use to take the reflective bits.
This is their UK seller

The rating will be for some colours only I suspect. Decathlon do one too.

Wish there was an EU standard 'mobile phone disabler and remote engine kill switch' available from Decathlon.
-
• #11017
Only problem is that I think people would be more distracted by their phone losing signal as you approached with one of those whirring away, and therefore more likely to kill you.
Also, when they do inevitably hit you, no-one nearby can ring 999 to get anyone to help you (or arrest the twats).

Yeah but the engine should cut out. So, they'll stop before they run into me. It's perfect in my head :)

I think you are right, the larger label (presumably with the conformance statement) is only present on the orange and yellow hi vis versions.
Thanks for the Decathlon suggestion, and to @frank9755 for the Raceviz options. Both look rather warm, as I was hoping for something mesh-like, as can be found for runner's vests, but that still conforms to the required standard. At £6.95 with postage included, I'll maybe give the Yoko one a try first and see how it is.
[Edit: the Yoko ones seem legitimate, I found some non-ebay working clothing suppliers of these, e.g.,

What about reflective sash type things?

I've got one of these monkeysee ones, a gift from serial TCR offender Doug Migden:

It increase your visibility, but does not appear to conform to EN 1150 or EN ISO 20471 as it has no hi vis panels in the form of a vest.

Yeah, it's Audax Australia item.
No one is going to want to add another layer when the min temp is 32C. -

The perfect one does not seem to have been invented yet.
- I was hoping that the Raceviz one could replace a normal gilet, but it is not quite as good.
- The Yoko would be cooler so could wear in addition to a gilet, but it looks like an aero disaster and the reflectives on the back might not be very visible if you are in a low position.
- The harness jobbies are probably the best functionally, but don't comply.
While I'm moaning I may as well chuck this in! My experience, from one extremely wet night, is that having a reflective over your waterproof buggers the waterproofness of your jacket by holding a layer of water right on its surface.

The decathlon one is pretty windproof, certainly more than the Raceviz one.
Seems they do a few actually.

Would it be possible to share the presentation material you gave at the reunion? I'm sure there are plenty of nerdy folks here who'd be interested in the methodology.
