• Putting out feelers here. Keen to sell this to fund another project and would prefer sell it here but unsure of interest in this sort of machine.

I have ridden this bike a lot and need to stress it's best on the flat. Unless you are really strong, hills are a struggle because the gearing is resolutely old school. Downhill it feels a bit shaky once you start feathering the brakes so you need a fair bit of bottle to make the most of descending. It cruises along beautifully on the flat as you'd expect from a Master. If I lived in Norfolk, I'd be keeping it no question.

Groupset is Campag triomphe, and hoods were NOS when I built this. Wheels are Ventos and in great condition.

Frame and forks are beautiful. Stunning paintjob and not that many chips for its age and no dings or dents.

Pricing wise - not sure. There is one or these on eBay for over 2k. Given its riding limitations, I would not be asking more than about £1.2 but totally open to sensible offers. I believe bikes should be ridden not hung on walls and I'm just not riding it much. I will miss all the conversations it has started at cafe stops.

Can provide more details and photos for anyone who might be interested.

  • Don't know how to edit title but that should of course be 1986.

  • You forgot to say the size.

  • Apologies. 56 top tube.

  • Nice. That is my kind of bike. I could definitely squeeze onto it, but my missus would absolutely kill me 😂😂

  • Loving that classic 80’s colourway

  • Lovely bike, but I don't think it's a 1986 frame, the internal cable routing on the top tube and straight-blade forks would suggest it's more likely to be early 90s.

  • That is a beautiful bike. Thank goodness it’s too small for me. @andyp could the frame be one of the earliest Piùs, even an 87? I really need to get out more.
    Anyway, GLWS @Rastapopoulos

  • After a bit of research and feedback - £950? Moving this to the bay soon.

  • 52/42 and a proper 'corn cob' freewheel - yep that is old school gearing. Lovely, lovely bike. Have a free bump. GLWS!
