Here's the start: https://www.strava.com/activities/5872276756 -> https://www.strava.com/activities/5872279281
It seems I clobbered all the RWGPS routes I had that went closer to Barcelona when they changed CP1 before the race this year so I just have this which heads further south towards Mont Caro.

Great bike! That's pretty much my dream touring bike

Has anyone got any experience/suggestions of a northern france gentle week’s tour? Due to no bikes on Eurostar we’re thinking a ferry from the south coast and then a <500km round trip.
Maybe the petit tour de manche? Or even to Nantes and then train back to the coast? Open to any suggestions

Brittany!
Loved my trip there.
5 days plus overnight ferries from Portsmouth. -

I got the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo. The ride east to the Cherbourg Peninsular along the D-Day beaches to Le Havre for the evening ferry back to Portsmouth. We did three nights camping. It was a super trip with all the emotion you’d expect from riding by the side of the Normandy beaches.

It’s a great little trip. I have two of the routes still saved on Strava, days one and two. It gives you an idea of what can be done. Note at the end of day one the climbs to the Cherbourg peninsular are annoying.

I'd be well up for a short N France tour this summer if anyone's down

After some rack suggestions please.
I am planning on carrying a couple of front planner bags. Is there a rack that will allow me to carry the bags low at the front with a wald basket on top?
If not then what are some forum approved from racks for low panniers?
Thanks -

Pelago Rasket is what you're looking for.
If not, at regular Pelago Rack with a Wald on top. -

Looks good, thanks

You're welcome. I have toured with both setups, and I think it works great.

Columbia Outdry Reign (the one with pit zips).

Patagonia Torrentshell has been good to commute in, expect it would hold up well to touring.

The ride east to the Cherbourg Peninsular along the D-Day beaches to Le Havre for the evening ferry back to Portsmouth
Is this an easy route to follow with no technology on you? I've been meaning to do this for a while (albeit probably the other direction).

Pretty straightforward. It’s not too windy or too many junctions but you’ll want to stay on the country roads rather than the RN’s.

Ok cool, thanks. Gonna head over mid may I think. Hope there are lots of bakery's!
I've got a fast one :)
