Ended up with a Diablo. Seems really well made and the beam is insane. Only gripe is that it doesn’t come with a proper handlebar mount, which for £175 isn’t cool.

Might be better in the mudguards / dynamos thread, but…
Has anyone had any success mounting a moderately large light (Exposure Strada, in this case) directly to a nice metal mudguard (PDW 45mm lads)? I was thinking of using the mount Isen make for dynamos but I’m worried it will be too heavy / bouncy

This on fork crown?

Almost - no holes in the front face of the fork or the underside. Worst comes to worst I can drill and epoxy a threaded insert exactly where I want it, but that’s definitely a bodge of last resort.
I think the Strada on this mount will be too much strain for even a metal guard, hence the Isen mount.

Canyon mounts light on the mudguard but those are the stiff alu profile ones that can work as a rack too. You would need a brace under the mudguard like they have on some racks.

I've run an edelux on PDW guards for a few years and would say that a strada would probably be a bad idea. I do get a tiny amount of bounce from the edelux.
If you're still keen to mount here a good option would to be to use an additional stay to support the front of the mudguard near where the light is mounted. This way there is less cantilevered diving board effect.

Curious if you can make something work. Ended up putting mine under a Garmin out front mount, safe and secure.

Anyone used these Exposure DayBright tailights on 'long' time trial seatposts?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Exposure-Lights-EXPBLAZE2DB-DayBright-Diameter/dp/B07H4R2KL3/
I want something that shoots laser beams into fuckwit driver's faces for at least 15 hours.

"It will only fit round seatposts, though, so if you have an aero model you'll need to buy the specific clamp from Exposure."

If you have a Spesh saddle with SWAT mounts, there are some 3d printed mounts out there https://www.shapeways.com/product/G97897XDT/exposure-blaze-swat-mount?optionId=145139524&li=marketplace looks like no adustment though - can't gurantee it'll point into drivers faces.

I don't use a Spesh saddle. My missus does but she doesn't ride with aero posts.
I think the aero post adapter will work. Thinking about buying one of these DayBright lights to replace my tired Lezyne's. On audaxes, the missus can run it as she's usually at the back and then I can snatch it and use it for 12hr TTs.

If the TraceR is anything to go on, it'll be a great light. Been using mine for 6+ years now.

How the fuck are Cycliq Fly 6s now almost £200?!
I paid £80 for mine in 2018 and tech is meant to get cheaper as time goes by.

I have one with the standard mount on my Sl7 'aero' seat post. The issue with said 'aero' seat post is the back is flat. So neither this nor the standard one are technically suitable. With that said, it stayed put over some fairly dodgy terrain without issue. Obviously the rubber stretch job has enough friction to stop it twisting.
Can confirm that the Blaze Mk3 is suitable in your face. I like the 'braking' function too with all the fancy accelerometer stuff built in.And thanks @spinnnout I do have a Speech saddle. This will be perfect to avoid the aforementioned bodge.

My bigger concern than the shape of the seatpost. Yours will be flat at the back, presumably to produce the same results as an aero tube 3x as long - camtail or whatever it's called, like the Trek and Cervelos used (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kammback and https://www.trekbikes.com/gb/en_GB/inside_trek/kammtail_virtual_foil/).
The Shiv seatpost is quite long, like double that of a normal aero road bike aero post, so the rubber bands get a workout trying to fit it.
Not so into dipping the lights. Braking maybe but the Peloton feature - does it dip the lights if a car is on your arse too? That would be less useful.

Exposure link is £50 and Sirius is £60 on Wiggle/ChainReaction at the moment.

I think Email2021 gets you £10 if new customer too.

Raceware produce various Exposure mounts for aero seatposts (page 2):
https://www.racewaredirect.co/product-category/exposure-lights/There is also the seat stay mount and a saddle mount available (from Raceware).
I've used the Mk3 Blaze daily for over a year. It's very bright, I really like the diffuser Exposure use on their lights. Never used the Pelton mode. Tried the Braking mode for a while but always wondered if car drivers really associate the light getting brighter/flashing stopped with me slowing down.
They come with a 2 year warranty, are made in UK and can be sent back to Exposure (in the UK) to be repaired, if needed, so less chance of just ending up in landfill.
Only two things to mention - doesn't use a usb input for charging (never been an issue for me) and I have found its easy to knock when in the mount (plastic mount + metal light body), so sometimes I noticed it isn't directly point backwards. I also have an Exposure Trace daybright which I'm really impressed with. Would only ever buy Exposure lights from now on.
If you don't need the battery life of the Blaze then I would go for the TraceR. It also has the better mount.

I have plenty of Exposure lights, so I'm well aware of their build quality, support and charging cables. :)
A saddle mount might be a nice option for the TT bike but I can't see anything that would suit an Adamo TT saddles with their stupid tri-hook at the back.

Where can I buy?
Edit: Is that this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393560946889? + this:https://www.condorcycles.com/products/exposure-lights-3-prong-action-camera-mount-to-exposure-cleat?variant=37191108952214&wgu=281345_187205_16363885541594_d9ec641047&wgexpiry=1644164554&source=webgains&siteid=187205 ?

Zip ties. But i understand your desire for a proper solution rather than bodge.

I too had thought of this. And it sounds like i need to test it. Stand by....

Sweet, this info is very helpful. I will investigate. Many thanks!
How about the Hope R2i? 250g maybe too chonky and non removable batteries make it less attractive?
