Great to have you playing, Nick! It's certainly unusual to have the tagger in the picture as an introduction, if that's you?
On a technical note, could you perhaps upload your pictures to the forum directly? We've lost a large number of pictures that were hosted on external image hosters, as they do seem to go to the wall periodically. (In the early days, we also lost images hosted on the forum itself, but I think that, with new software, it is now a much more reliable image host than anything external.)

Nice to meet your cat too

Thanks for the welcome everyone. The cat says hi too. I'm surprised more people don't play - I find it rather addictive. I need to get new tags lined up in advance. The mad dash to snap one in a hurry before being pipped to the post.....actually it's just as well that more people don't play.

Tough choice: a bit of an outing tomorrow morning, or painting some gloss.

Where do you live? I'm all of 200 yards from the monolith in question.

It usually works out like this on every forum that each activity gets a small-ish group together and that growth is slow. It works OK for BToB; loads on here have done quite a few tags and are happy for newer people to have a go. Some only get involved when the game seems to have stalled temporarily, others do more. If you look back in the thread to when it started, you can see the initial excitement and loads of tags in a short time, and that, too, happens again from time to time. I think it still has a good pace that way.
Also, did you notice this bit of my post? :)

I am about an hour away, Nick. One gets an idea of the locale of operatives in due course. PS strong opening shot w/ cat

Oliver, I did notice that bit. I think I need to resize the pics if I'm to upload them directly. I've got some software which does that, so I just need to get round to it.
In the meantime we could have another clue. The victim of the shooting didn't die until 2011. The bullet put her in a wheelchair for 26 years. She was shot by a detective inspector who was acquitted of GBH. The Met didn't admit liability but gave her half a million pounds. The commissioner finally apologised in 2014. The shooting prompted a review of the Met's use of firearms. Firearms officers were given more training and were deployed in centrally controlled specialist units. Local officers lost their access to guns.

Not like the glory days of the Walthamstow Tram Chase where they couldn’t get their guns, but had their sabres

Got it.
Ironically, one of the places that I had been meaning to use as a venue for courseworking, if I got sick of home, actually overlooks this tag!
Will grab it if it doesn't go this weekend.

What I mean really is that it's usually good for the setter to check in and see if any more help is needed. Then again there's only about half a dozen people who tag regularly so sometimes there's a pause. Obvs there's all the people who play along in the back ground, often known as tag-slags, tagerati, tagabees, shadow-taggers, tag-shaggers and the undead.
