In 24,000 miles my Aston went through two sets of front shocks. Depends on who abused it before you.
Is it possible to have them rebuilt rather than replaced? Bilstein will recon theirs for a very reasonable price.

50k seems like a lot of mileage for a performance shock. I know it's not the same but you wouldn't expect to run the Ohlins on the Porsche for that long without a rebuild, right?
Does suck a bit if they can't be serviced. That's a rip off.

Shocks (or, maybe, shock - currently unclear) fitted to the E63. Asked "is the expected lifespan of these fifty thousand miles?" and got "I can't answer that".
