Ah, didn't click refresh in time. My google got me there eventually.
Thanks Gaston. -

Great build! That bike is plenty worthy of display in the MGOOF thread. (I don't think anyone wants MGOOF to be an golf club / boojy / elitist thing...?)

More bling with a new headset.

Some upgrades for the Trailblazer: cheap silver stem and BLB seatpost, more robust straddle cable hangers, and better cable routing. Still a lot of fun to ride!

700x38 tyres? Very nice.
By the way, your link isn't working. You need to remove '/:' at the end.

Yup, 700x38s. Feels very plush compared to the 32s on my Kaffenback, although the Gravel Kings attract punctures like you wouldn't believe.
Also, the link is now fixed. Thanks for mentioning it!

Looks awesome!
I’ve been running 35c gk slicks- have done about 7/800miles on them and so far 1 puncture. I do feel like I’m going to get one every time I go out though.
they made me paranoid enough to pump some oko sealant into my inner tubes

Cheers!
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've done about the same distance on these and I've had more like 5 or 6 punctures. It's enough to have made me write "TUBELESS" on my to-do list, although not enough to have made me actually do anything about it.

Madness...

Switched out racks, now both of my regularly used bikes have Flys on them so I don’t have to adjust panniers for each.

^ Love that.
Decided the geo on my ratty Escapade is a bit too long to be comfortable for long rides and that the type of 'gravel' I do is more fun with risers, so made a couple of changes. Might put gears on, might leave as is.

I made a nicely erected stem for my functional funbike and put cantilever sockets on the forks. Now it has plenty of gears and a nice upright position for perfectly going slow.

Are there any custom aluminum components makers? I never asked, searched, just came to me. I’d like a custom 30-32 setback post and I don’t want carbon. I already snapped an FSA K-Force (discontinued) and those are new old stock on eBay

refurbished this for my 3yr old, all bearings cleaned and regreased, trued wheels, new tread, new saddle, grips, training wheels and bell

Velo Orange Grand Cru Long Setback Mark II (ostentatious much?) -
• #129299
Velo Orange out of stock. I have a 27.2 grand cru I need a 31.6. I’ll check the others *IRD is nice but I can’t order in the size I want. Maybe out of stock. I’ll contact ** - ONLY in 27.2mm and 26.8mm OD presently :( I didn’t want to write anything but not ostentatious just makes poor choices in impulse purchases of bike frames that end up being to small or too low blah blah who gives a shit hence a call for help in search of either long setback or a 150mm stem or something one more :( for good measure

Are there any custom aluminum components makers?
There must be, since I have had a custom aluminium seat post on my Azonic for the past 15 years🙂 It's the head of the post I could get grafted onto a custom tube of the (not commercially available) length and diameter I needed. If you can get the head you need in 27.2, it would be easy to make a telescope tube to insert that into a 31.6mm hole.
If you want a mad long aluminium stem, get your CNC shop to make the main part to match a stock face plate so you're only paying custom rates for the bit which needs to be custom. Or just get custom CrMo from one of the builders who do that kind of thing, it will probably be cheaper and lighter.
Looks like 600DX
