I have a beard and it was much fuller when I did the floor. For a one off job, given proper ventilation in the room, you would likely get good enough protection with a "regular" mask rather than having to go full face. I would have thought they were more necessary for regular and prolonged exposures. But, I am not a HSE expert.
I really like the 3m 6500
Quick release catch to easily flip the mask down. Means you can quickly pop it down to say something, or wear it round your neck easier - which means that I actually use it way more often as I keep it round my neck when popping between dusty/non-dusty areas.

Also - the exhaust vent points down rather than out which I like.
