I have anew opinel and it’s impossible to open without pliers pulling the blade out.
Has anyone else had this problem? What’s the solution.
Oil the hinge. Few drops of olive oil are fine.
Find that the carbon steel blades do that, but not the stainless.
I wouldn’t recommend applying oil to an opinel pivot. I suspect it will make the wood swell. Wipe the blade with oil but not the pivot.
