Note they upped the ante with Paterson's take also - from the widely-quoted £100k to half a million - which I reckon could be way short of the actual take also...
Maybe some Ministers were upset they were being sold too cheaply and might lose out.

I think they bet on no one caring (as that's the case, more often than not). They also hedge on papers like the Express simping for them (today's front page is a joke).
