I'm a nerd who builds models. People pay near full RRP for second hand ruined things on ebay. It can be 10 years old and painted by a blind man with no hands and people will still pay near enough full whack. It's annoying because deals are near impossible to find. Although likewise I've sold stuff for literally £2 under shop+postage price and it went in minutes.

I mean ultimately I'm just bitter about not being able to nab a good deal. But it's just that fucking around watching and bidding, and wondering why something not rare and widely available goes for what it does.

I mean you're always taking a bit of a punt on ebay anyway.

Something like Gixen is invaluable for ebay I find. Allows you to set loads of last minute bids and if you win one then the others are cancelled.
