Yes. Pedantically it's actually DTM data as it's based on OS's real world surveying of GB terrain, rather than the poorer DEM data obtained by satellite based radar for the rest of the world.
Okay, thanks. It looks like a useful tool to complement route planning. Should the resample points option be used, as it is switched on by default?
I tried the software with the Dark and White Peak permanent GPX file which fails when the resample option is turned on, but awards 5 AAA points with resampling off:
Results:Total Distance: 204.7 km Total Climbing: 4985 m AAA Points: 5

Not resampling just uses whatever elevation data is present in the GPX file. That track for the Dark & White Peak perm works for me, I make it 3896m of climbing for 4AAA. If this continues to fail for you, maybe drop me an email to my AAA address and can investigate further.
Of course, this raises the issue that many perms have been grandfathered in from before this tool was around (as @motoko has previously flagged to me) so the AAA values can vary, it is on my list to address but will require a complete review of all perms, some of which have no GPX track available. Another exciting winter project awaits.
