It was 17 Celsius at 6am in London why are we discussing this
-
• #2428
Yeah, crazy warm yesterday, we won't need to warm our hands up if the whole world gets warmed up, for ever...

Preparation? Ideally you have the gloves you need before you need them.
-

You know, I often feel that's where my gloves let me down. Not constricting the blood flow in my wrists enough.

Not to mention dragging a lump of plastic over your face every time you wipe your nose. Contender for dumbest cycling product ever?

Haven't quite grasped the use-case for this yet, either. Maybe the intention is to make it easier to fit the glove inside the sleeve of your waterproof jacket?

The phrase "A solution looking for a problem" seems apt.

I never quite saw the point of them on shoes, never mind anywhere else.

So cool, hasn't one of those superheroes got gloves like this? Antman or something.

I wish they did these as a lobster claw or as an open palm. Might look for a second hand pair to butcher.

Just got a pair of Showers Pass knitted waterproof gloves to replace some Sealskinz that fell apart (the previous pair lasted years). The fit is so much better! Just way better in every way. Shame not to have conductive finger tips but I’ll take proper fitting good looking glove over that.
The new “heather black” is nice too. Classy.

I got the prism gloves (was a shipping delay at montane, had to email them) and they feel super fragile... but you're saying they aren't going to fall apart on me? I'll give them a shot. Feeling the cold already. I think I don't keep my core warm enough tbh.

Long shot: anyone got a pair of these in XL to swap for L?
Sealskinz Waterproof All Weather Insulated Glove
They’re decent but size-up a bit small. If no swapsies, I’ll be selling for half price via DM. Worn ~four times.

I just treated myself to a pair of those Buffalo mitts in Hi Vis yellow colour with reflective tape, for cold, dark, winter nights. The join between the thumb and main body is quite thick due to the thickness of two layers of fibre pile meeting together, so I don't know how it would work for a lobster claw pattern with a seam between the middle and ring finger (where the glove 'fingers' would be side-by-side, rather than opposed to each other). Their weight is 81g for L size pair.

They're nice. Perhaps I'll have a look for those.

I'll buy them if you can't find a swap.

Has anyone got any opinions on the C5 GORE-TEX Thermo Gloves? Poor circulation in the hands, and the morning commutes are getting a bit chilly now!

I've got some of these. They're ok, but not amazing. But then I get really cold/painful fingers so may not be best placed to judge. If you can get them on sale they're probably worth it for an autumn glove.
I'm seriously considering getting those heated sealskinz gloves in the hope of winter riding being less painful this year. -

Sorry for the shit photo. I whacked the cheap af Giyo bar muff things I got from AliExpress on my work bike today. Nice and toasty, kept my Reynaudsy hands warm with no gloves underneath in 0° degrees-ish. Would recommend!

Got directed to this thread from AQA.
What's the go-to gloves for daily commuting? Under 50€, small enough to be stored in the jacket, warm enough that my hands don't die during a 20 min commute and touch functionality. -

For me it is Sportful Essential 2 with goretex infinium. They cover a wide range of temperatures and easily stash under the jersey. As the cut is long and thin i size up and have room at the fingertips. I have raynaud and i found them to work better than more insulated but less breathable others.

Just ordered a pair of these based on your recommendation. Thanks!
Whilst I'm here, any recommendations for reusable hand warmers? My Giyo bar muffs have been super toasty today with some of the disposable ones chucked in there but I'd rather get away from single use ones.

First time out in them today, just for a dog walk rather than a ride. They're not as warm as I was hoping! I needed a new pair of autumn/spring gloves which I reckon they'll be perfect for but I don't think I'll get much use out of them for winter.
Yeah but do your gloves have boa adjusters on them? If not they're obsolete
