  • New project. Can't say for sure what frameset it is, but it is very similar to early Marin bikes

  • According to the catalogues all Tequestas came with rigid forks. As for the mystery frame, afaik all steel Marins have Marin branding stamped into the rear dropouts. It looks like a rad machine with great components!

  • Sorry for the spam, does anyone want a pair (2x) of late 90s brake boosters in ano green? Still new in package. Just asking postage.

  • Recommendation for go to cheap / good v brakes?

  • woo! looking good! how tall are you?? 2,0 m?

  • Deore v-brakes are really good value.

    (replied to your PM btw)

  • Last version of XT, beautiful and very powerful. Yes, bit more expensive but shouldn't be too hard to find them cheap on 2nd hand market.

  • If Mcamb doesn't have these I would be interested please.

  • hey all, looking for a rigid 1 1/8 26er steel fork with 36-38cm a-2-c and at least 24cm of steerer. don't mind if ratty.

  • Haha not that tall at all
Actually I already swapped syncros stem for proper bikefit (photos first, bikefit later :))

never tempted to try dropbars with those? just because

  • Nice builds. Where are you getting all these Maxxis DTH tyres from? I want some for my Kona.

  • Spotted in Mallorca. Belongs to the owner of Plumo bike shop and cafe, which is an awesome place.

  • wow thats perfect!

  • Late to this but I've just finished building up my Tequesta that has the very same frame. I think it's from 99 and mine was found as an almost full bike with Rock Shox Judy Cs on it. I took them off and bought a Planet X fork for it and it's worked out pretty well

  • Also found this fairly recently. The GT was meant to be my dad rig with Wald etc but I failed to notice the fact that the Planet X forks had no eyelets or brake hole so this rough and ready Orange Clockwork 10th Anniversary will take on that job. I've just got some semi-slick tyres for it and I have a Wald 139 to fit along with some other bits and pieces.

  • Sorry for the stupid question.

Im trying to build something similar for the commute/pub/cafe rides. Im 5'10, I cant think what size I might need.

    Usually go for a M or 54

  • Thats a beauty!

  • That Wheeler in particular is lush!

  • 18" or 19" I would think? I'm 6'1 and fine with a 19" frame.

  • don't know if this has been posted before but its pretty interesting, it predates even retro mtb. 1979 mountain bike racing, featuring a young Gary Fisher. Klunking

  • Thanks!

Yeah I'd echo @ElGonzo . I'm 5'7" and I usually go for around a 16" frame although it varies a bit with sloping top tubes. I reckon an 18" frame should be good for you.

  • V nice. Your builds and pics are always on point. I need to work on my photography.

  • Who took these and would they consider parting with one? 😛
