Is Kane tanking deliberately to get a move?
-
• #159303
When Steve Bruce became available Spurs had to move fast.
-
• #159304
He would have to start playing to take that role

Oof!

Needless to say I’m loving these Spursy times… however if they were my team I’d want them to be pulling out the stops to bring in Parker. As a manager he had Fulham playing for him and playing as a team all the time they were in the bottom 3 places and even after they were mathematically relegated.
Unless the board change what has been their way for the best part of 2 decades and seriously invest in improving the team for the next couple of seasons, Conte isn’t going to bring much to the table. -

I've got a mate who's a STH at the cottage and he would routinely complain that Parker had abosultely no idea what he was doing. He seems a decent man manager/motivator but a tactical novice.

In that case I hope the management Merry go round continues and we can all be entertained for seasons to come

Tee hee.

Conte in, swiftly followed by Hazard...

Conte in
Interesting. Suspect Arsenal fans laughter will soon turn to tears.

Bournemouth were very organised and professional when I saw them play on Saturday, not much in the way of flair however for a team currently bossing the league

As a Fulham Fan, I can agree with that. While we played nice football there was never a plan B when things started to go wrong and teams quickly worked that out. He was also never given the players he wanted and sometimes it looked as he just wanted the owners to see that, as he would often play them out of position.

It was great then and it will only be funnier now
I can't remember if Nuno was the fifth or sixth choice in the summer (below Fonseca and Conte from memory?) I loved how they kept everyone in the loop on who they wanted, and who they moved onto once they were turned down.
Hopefully in the next couple of days The Sheriff or Klinsman will be in the mix somehow.

• #159316
Wait, does this mean Conte ISN'T going to Newcastle?
-
• #159317
I don't know, but Nuno to the toon? Jorge Mendes will be looking at the Newcastle chequebook and drooling.
-
• #159318
Wasn’t he Spurs first choice in the summer? Has anything materially changed since then?
Levy won’t open his cheque book and Conte will take a look at the current squad and know he’s on a hiding to nothing.
-
• #159319
I would prefer Conte to go to Tottenham where Levy will screw everything up rather than ManU where he could succeed.

Wasn’t he Spurs first choice in the summer
I don't think so. Weren't Erik ten Hag and Brendan Rogers fancied ahead of him? Could be wrong, it went on for so long last time.

emery in

• #159322
If spending £6m on Emery when he's close to getting the sack at Villarreal is an indication of how Newcastle are going to spaff their money up the wall then this is going to be top top lolz.
-
• #159323
So it's a done deal, Conte in...
White Shart Lane, were legends go to die... 🚽

Emery not in

"Balague reports the Magpies have previously made approaches for new Tottenham manager Antonio Conte, Barcelona legend Xavi and ex-Germany manager Joachim Low but all have turned the opportunity down."
Someone on Reddit proclaimed him Mannequin of the Match for Saturday's game.
Would suit the lonely figure on the touchline manager vibe. About the only thing he's got the pace for.
