Well, I am not embracing the card as such. That was the discussion a decade ago and the plastic version it's not something we really need nowadays.
But the digital ID you would need when entering changes to the land registry could be made very hard to duplicate or misuse. And should someone still be successful in faking it somehow, they would have left plenty of digital breadcrumbs that could be used in a swift prosecution.
