FINE!

Just tried zwift first time. Interesting.
I was on rollers with speed, cadence & hr sensors.
The speed recorded on 3rd party app (black background) correlates to power zwift calculated. Zwift speed is much more up n down, and distance covered is about 75% of my other recording 9 vs 12.
Anyone in the know can explain what's wrong or not?

Bit of a guess but some virtual hills slowing you down on the zwift recording?

Maybe I guess. I was in "flat course" as it was the intro ride. It did mention gradient at one point during the tutorial.

Got swept up in a large group for some of it? There’s some odd draft physics at times
-

That's to be expected. Zwift is using just the roller speed to guesstimate a power value, then using that in conjunction with your weight to derive a speed in the virtual world, factoring in (as others have said) drafting and gradient. It's really designed to be used with a power meter.

If I get well into it I might upgrade. Ta.

Next question. I follow almost 200 people on Strava... many use zwift. Is there a bulk follow your strava connections option I'm missing somewhere?

^ question bump with added csb
Sharp left appeared on the screen last night, started to make the turn on the rollers... caught it just in time but was defo a squeaky bum moment. /csb

Did Zwift change the epic KOM? I've hardly ridden in 4-5 months and set my fastest time up to the radio tower which seems surprising

can you use a Lightning to HDMI Adapter to cast Zwift from an iPhone to a tv?
Edit: yep, seems you can

Any hints and tips for running Zwift on an Apple TV?
-

Install it
Open it
Use itNever had a problem with updates.
Might want to think about a different remote /using your phone if you race as too much sweat isn’t great.Been really easy in the two years or so I’ve been using it on Apple TV.

Get a case for the remote: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2021/01/favorite-zwift-apple-tv-accessory.html (there are other options, mine has little ball-bumps at the back)
Use "Pair through phone" functionality if the limited number of Bluetooth channels are not enoughI now use it exclusively on the Apple TV, in fact purchased a separate ATV just for this, leaves the computer open for other stuff such as Netflix or Youtube or GCN+ (sigh)

I have a wobble board jobby that I don’t use because my Wattbike has wheels on it (so I can move it out of the way of the tv) and the rocker board does not. I want to add retractable wheels, preferably to the edges, so I don’t cut holes in it.
Anyone done it? Anyone know what sort of wheels I’m looking for?
[not my board not my Wattbike but that sort of idea]

Does anyone know how Zwift works out time gaps? I had a ghost of my fastest recent time today and it reckoned it was never more than 2 mins behind, even when I finished 10 mins faster. Seems odd.
Cheers, sounds like the individual workouts would be best for my friend.
For myself I have made a small library of custom workouts that I use depending on my needs.
