My vintage Thorens tt is starting to play up and sounds shit despite a brand new cartridge a few weeks ago.
Any good places that could service it and ideally upgrade the wiring for me?

Alternatively I'm looking at buying a brand new one for Xmas but will resist splashing the cash if I can avoid it.

I've not had anything serviced by Audio Gold, but have brought old stuff that they've repaired and have been very happy.

Thanks. Will give them a call this week. Wrong side of town, but I'm not sure that old man in South Croydon is still active.
