BBC short video item `Plumber Martin Broer from Derby explains why he swapped his van for an electric cargo bike.':
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/business-58929721He's using an Urban Arrow e-cargo bike financed with the aid of a local council grant.

That’s good innings, what ebike motor?

I tend to run Alfine 8 in ATF, and Nexus 5 in this Silkolene stuff
What is ATF? Automotive Transmission Fluid?
For my Alfine 11 townbike I've been using the Rolholff cleaner and oil setup.

No motor, which probably helped with longevity.

We've gone through about 6 Enviolo hubs in 6 months. We've found they last a bit longer if you try and only shift when coasting, and definitely not when under high motor/leg load (i.e on hills). This shifting technique defeats the entire purpose of a stepless, automatic hub, but if they last longer than 1 month...
We'll be slowly moving over to Rohloff, it's just hard to justify when they're warrantied endlessly.

Sounds like we’re getting William to install one on his Urban arrow with a Bosch CX mid drive motor and a 200kg max load capacity. Sure it'll be fine :)

We've moved to a terraced house with a huge shed and back lane access now. So yep :)

Glad it's not just me. I am hard on kit, but I think the 5000 miles put on this by the previous owner must have been quite gentle and flat. I broke it after 300.

Any recommendations for front lights for an Omnium cargo, just got an extender bar and not sure where the best place to mount one would be. Seen some nice fork crown ones like this but maybe there’s a better option?

i just bought an omnium e-mini and am also perplexed at how to do lights effectively want something attached to the front bit of the rack ideally.
