Recently I started thinking that my stable had too much overlap and I needed a proper road bike to replace my Trek cross bike. A few weeks of scouring fleabay and this 2016 Evo hi-mod popped up for a very reasonable price.
As with most of my builds I want to try and get it as light as possible without getting too far into the realm of impracticality. I've already managed to source set of older (lighter) Red cranks and some Red callipers and I'll be swapping the rest of Force groupset over from the Trek as this will be a 1x set-up.
The plan for now is to build it up with stuff I have lying around until I can get a fit Im happy with, then the gram shedding can begin! All being well I'm hoping to eventually get it stripped back to bare carbon and clear coated.
So far the only issue is that the previous owner was running the bike uber slammed with an ultra low stack stem so I'm stuck using that for now unless anyone wants to sell me an Enve fork for a good price?
Here’s the Trek in its current all-road incarnation. Really great bike but I already have the Curve so this is kind of redundant now. Frameset will be up for sale as soon as the Dale is rolling if anyone is interested
