  • Fuji GS645 is worth considering, does all except no electronics.

I had a GS645S with its 60mm lens when they first came out, and I can recommend it over the 75mm lens version as it is always available to take a photograph with no bellows to extend (and develop pinholes over time). It is a very compact and neat medium-format camera, but I never got used to the vertical rectangular format and having to rotate the camera 90 degrees it every time I wanted a horizontal photograph.

This is my gripe with a lot of 645 cameras too, fine if you take mainly portrait photos I guess.

I had a Pentax 645N for a while which was a decent camera and the autofocus was actually pretty good although probably not fast/ accurate enough to keep up with kids on the move.

Yes, at least the 645 SLRs are the `right way round', but bulkier and awkward to use vertically without a pentaprism accessory viewfinder. The Pentax looks better than most in that respect.

If I was still using medium-format I would try and find a nice Mamiya 6 and get the rangefinder and lenses calibrated. For a one-lens system, I have fond memories of a Rolleiflex 2.8GX, which had a convenient built-in meter and great lens.

With moving subjects I think one really needs to zone focus with these cameras, and rely on depth of field. Though I have never tried the medium-format autofocus systems, I imagine they would be slow from that era.

  • in a roll of 15 on my mamiya I easily get 12 good images with mad shallow 80 1.9 🤷🏽‍♂️ autofocus is overrated

Yea but not images of running little kids I suppose.. 🙂

  • Kinda desperate for some cash right now. Nikon 50mm F1.4 and hood. £155 delivered or reasonable offers accepted.

  • I'm thinking about selling my Sony kit. 2x A7iii bodies and a load of lenses. Anyone interested before I also them up on the bay?

  • Why selling? Ballpark for an A7 body? I've always been curious about adapting my vintage lenses to a FF mirrorless body but this might be an expensive way of finding out

  • Might be interested in a lens maybe. i only have the 55 1.8 (i mainly use my sony bodies on a cambo view camera)

  • I have an a7 and a vintage zeiss 50mm with a simple converter. I usually run it with manual shutter speed, auto iso and adjust aperture and focus on the lens. I like it although it's a faff.

  • Why is it a faff? I'd be coming from cameras like the F1 and GW690 that arent exactly automated

  • just not being able to whack it on speed priority for some photos of moving bikes or something. I like the images it makes and has a really nice bokeh but it's use is kinda limited to stationary objects. I've tried taking some pics of races with it by setting focus on one point and doing a real quick shutter while panning and some photos worked but mainly not. I honestly will mostly just shoot in aperture priority and play with exposure compensation on the fly rather than going full manual. That and I'm spoiled by the image object auto focus of the A7 and I'm also lazy so would rather not be carrying around spare lenses.

  • Switching to Fuji. Cool. Will let know when I'm about to sell. Need to organise getting all the fuji gear first.

  • I'd be interested in one of the body's, And potentially a lens or too. 👍

  • I'd be interested in one of the cameras + wide angle lens if available. Just starting out but looking to try my hand at property photography.

  • I’d be interested in a long / tele lens, if you have any. Thanks, Matt

  • they're better than a mamiya 7....

Oh I agree in many ways, the modern leaf shutter medium format rangefinder is THE ONE

    Love my Fuji GF670.

  • Fuji XF 8-16 2.8

    Price?

  • 1200 euro and if interested, I can likely get you a ticket to Rouleur on top.

  • Out of my budget, but I also totally misunderstood the lens you're selling.

    Thanks.

  • I still have the lens here https://www.lfgss.com/comments/16199271/ if anybody is looking for a nice LTM lens.

  • Got a couple of folding 6x6 cameras I'm looking to sell due to lack of use. One is a Mamiya Six and the other a Zeiss Nettax, both in good condition and functioning as expected.

The Mamiya was CLA'd by PPP repairs a few months back, really good camera with a coupled rangefinder and has to be the most compact 6x6 camera out there. It's got a Zuiko lens which performs very well, even wide open.

The Zeiss isn't as premium feeling and lacks internal focusing but on the upside its a fair bit lighter and still very capable, provided you don't mind guestimating distances. The built in meter even works which is a bonus and is accurate in evenly lit scenes.

Looking for £175 for the Mamiya and £40 for the Zeiss, can post photos and sample photos if there's any interest. Collection from Norwich or can post for an extra £10.

  • Wife asked for a camera for Xmas, after looking at what's available and showing her what I'd recommend she decided on the canon M50. Any body has one for sell now that mark 2 is out?

  • Now then, Im looking to sell a couple of Fuji lens's if anyone is keen.

    XF 90mm f2 £500
    XF 50mm f2 £250 - Sold.

    Both in good condition,
    Prices include postage.
    Cheers
