Just going on my experience.
Pros:
- reduced harshness of glare
Cons:
- reduced vision
My motorbike commute used to run the full gambit of roads so I didn't think it was worth having any reduction in vision. Also my clear visor has a photochromic pinlock which takes a bit of the edge of, but results in some distortion. However, that balances out as a net gaim whereas the glasses were a net loss.

Not an argument, a discussion. Doesn't your first sentence contradict your second sentence, about the contrast and depth perception? Have some amber coloured cycling glasses that are useless but the yellow bolle (H&S, not fashion) glasses work well well while driving on unlit roads.
This seems to agree that yellow glasses help blue light effecting sleep https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20030543/
Know that it is one random group, but does bring up some interesting points.
