  • I've had that ^^^ Henckels 3-knife set for 15 years or so, and the knives are still going strong. FWIW I prefer the Professional S handles to the 4-Star ones, so it's probably worth comparing them in a shop to see which you prefer.

  • I think the 4 star chefs knife I have is older than I am, but it’s still 100% dependable.

    To be fair it’s got about as much steel as a meat cleaver, and I’ve not taken to it as much as my Chinese cleaver and Victorinox Chinese cleaver, but have used it myself for 18 years and no major issues.
