just not being able to whack it on speed priority for some photos of moving bikes or something. I like the images it makes and has a really nice bokeh but it's use is kinda limited to stationary objects. I've tried taking some pics of races with it by setting focus on one point and doing a real quick shutter while panning and some photos worked but mainly not. I honestly will mostly just shoot in aperture priority and play with exposure compensation on the fly rather than going full manual. That and I'm spoiled by the image object auto focus of the A7 and I'm also lazy so would rather not be carrying around spare lenses.
I have an a7 and a vintage zeiss 50mm with a simple converter. I usually run it with manual shutter speed, auto iso and adjust aperture and focus on the lens. I like it although it's a faff.
