Exactly.

Another one in the 'constantly being pestered by stupidly bright lights in the rear-view mirror' brigade. Going off the sunglasses suggestion, is there not some sort of anti-glare film you could apply to mirrors to prevent the blinding?
Only other solution I can think of is:

Ha!
I originally bought them for my motorbike in winter, but tested it in the car first. I think spending all day in front of a screen might have also had an effect.

I had a Grade A douch in a murc'd out wrangler blinding me the other day. The great thing about being within an easy drive of the countryside is the plethora of practical 4x4 pimped out to deal with both the apocalypse and town style points

Does the rear view mirror dimmer not do enough?
For wing mirrors German cars in the late 90s used to have this blue tint. Idk if that's still a thing.

Might give the above a try, tons of stuff on Amazon as well.
I've been looking into updating the lighting on my 92 Saab and the options are pretty basic. I have one OG reflector and one newly resilvered one and although the new one is clearly brighter what's noticeable is the new high output lamps cast really messy beams most likely as the reflector wasn't designed for that output. I'll probably end up refurbishing the other reflector then using standard output lamps so it's as good as it should of been but still crap by modern standards.
Ditto LED replacement indicator lamps, very little diffusion as they're naked LED chips and without the fade incandescent lamps have makes them very spotty and jarring.

As it's a Saab fit the night forest rally spec bar of spotlights across the leading edge of the bonnet.

Does the rear view mirror dimmer not do enough?
I was today years old when I found out this was a thing

Should be interesting to see how much of an impact it has. It'll be nice not to resort to angling my mirror to shine back out the rear window.

You're welcome!
TBH I totally forgot about it for years.

Cheapest place to buy oil for oil changes? Just get it from ECP like everyone else?

Looking into replacing all my fuel lines with ptfe lined, braided stainless so it doesn't rot again. Holy shit the fixtures are expensive, between 20-45 bucks a piece depending on the angle. So far I have counted 14 and the sodding hose ain't cheap either. I reckon nearly a grand for everything and that's with me doing all the work. Oy...

Same age(ish), same problem.
I find that driving in an old pair of glasses with a mild prescription makes the world of difference at night.
Maybe it's time for an eye test?

If yellow glasses don't work, why are they used in shooting? Maybe not buy them from ali express and a decent HSE rated glasses ;)

Oy, for real.
How has hose and fittings got so expensive, understand that going stainless steel are the most expensive settings.

Some of my colleagues used yellow lenses on the range. Reduced glare and increased contrast, so they said. [https://www.amazon.co.uk/shooting-glasses-shatterproof-complete-microfibre/dp/B00TE9GQ4M
