  • If only their handsets weren’t so damn ugly

  • Looks really good on that.

I really liked it on the brown though!

  • Ditto, personal taste innit?

  • The OEM brown strap is a very nice strap and suits the watch, it just doesn’t suit me.

  • Yeah, that's bang on. Has real class that watch and the black strap combo.

  • Any tips on cleaning/servicing a quartz movement?

My Tissot was doing the second hand twitch of death even after a new battery- took it to Alsal who said they couldn't help and suggested sending it to Tissot's vintage department for a service.

That's likely to be expensive for a watch that cost £80 so was hoping there'd be a cheaper solution as I'm pretty sure it's just a bit gunked up inside after 45 years. Seen people suggesting flushing the movement with lighter fluid / IPA online which feels a bit too risky...

  • Been offered this in part ex and is too worn for us , previously sold one of these on here as a “trade sale “ sold as seen as a bargain and wondered if anyone would be interested. It needs bracelet tightening / replacing , the sapphire is chipped at edge and the dial is marked .
Be about £1500 as is . ladies bimetal on jubilee, with fluted ( obvs)

  • Now that is how you pull off a sector dial. Hodinkee x Longines 500 pieces:

  • It's Longines so the L2L is like fifty miles or something.

    But yes please.

  • Nope. 'Dink did a good job on making sure that didn't happen. 47.75mm lug to lug. Only 0.15mm longer than an SPB!

  • Yeah, this one's a good effort.

  • Love it.

But is it me or does it look a bit odd on the wrist shots?

  • Yeah, he's wearing it pretty loose. Looks great on Clymer's wrist. Cheesy pic though. Laughing in wealth.

  • BC blowing smoke up his own ass is by far the worst thing about it all. That shit needs to stop.

  • I’m loving the bracelet, it’s nice when it’s like that.

  • What, you mean time isn’t your best friend but also your enemy? You mean that you’re not working on stuff now that you conceptualised ten whole years ago? Jeez regal. Slacking.

  • 😃

  • Noticed an oddity with my Tudor - before the service the quick-set date worked crisply between 10 and 2… no it seems to have rotated to be between 9 and 12… are there any issues with this to be aware of? 🤷‍♂️

  • I love this.

EDIT: Although I hate the clasp.

  • Would anyone have any interest in this? I bought it new in 2008, fully boxed with original receipt also brochure.. only thing is the clasp is broken on the metal band (it splits when opened) but is fine when closed.. also comes with genuine Hamilton leather strap.. £500 + post.

  • Great watch. Mine has been flawless for 6 months now and survives the surf and kids bath time no problems.

  • I do like the strap, brown work great with Pepsi.

That’s the one from Watch Gecko?

  • Jumping in on the Pepsi action (apols for being the wrong Japanese manufacturer)

  • Excuse the old picture, but if anyone wants to buy a Seiko Pepsi then mine isn't getting worn anymore. Excellent condition, no box. £200.
