Kuenssberg leaving BBC political editor role - an exciting opportunity arises for a young Tory hack who's good at taking instructions.
-
• #67104
Go for it!
Edit to add.. third sector role, six figure salary, great pension.. what's stopping you?
-
• #67105
Do you really believe Kuenssberg is a Tory who follows government instructions?
-
• #67106
Not a currently paid up member, but now she's probably free to start being so.
-
• #67107
As if there's any meaningful BBC role that's not going to be given to a Tory cheerleader.

What kind of mental health specialist is she?
It's a punctuation issue. She's a mental health-specialist.

keunsberg is effectively a stooge for whoever is running the government by sheer dint of the fact that she's a lazy, lightweight journalist who utterly fails at her job of holding the powerful to account.

I'm very pro BBC, by no means a Corbyn fanboi, and disliked the level and form of abuse directed by some at LK. However, I genuinely felt compelled to write to the BBC during the last election over LK's bias.
I got some sort of boiler plate response. But still felt I had to say something.

Thank you for contacting us. We're big fans.
As the BBC’s Political Editor, a significant part of Laura Kuenssberg’s role is to keep our audience up to date with political events and stories as they happen. A key tool for doing this is social media, which allows her to report on breaking stories quickly. As is common journalistic practice, Laura often gains information from off the record sources, as was the case in this instance.
Once the video footage of this incident was available, Laura shared it on her Twitter so that people could see for themselves what had actually happened. She also reflected the Labour Party’s response to this story. Once it became apparent that the information she had been briefed was inaccurate, Laura deleted the initial tweet, clarified what had happened and apologised, as you can see below:
