embargo lifted today...I assumed brompton would do a press release, obv not.
Its the same as the B75, just with a white frame / stem and black fork /triangle
The new "range" is A Line - AKA B75
C Line - AKA standard bike
C Line Electric
P line - AKA Superlightnew model names;
Gearng is;
Explore - 6 speed
Utility - 3 speed
Urban - 2 speedE type ( no guards) no longer an option.
bars;
Low bar, Mid Bar, High bar
so ....
to make things more simple for customers, and apparently the majority of shops voted for this...
M6L, instead of moving to M6 is now;
Core Line Explore Mid Bar
.... yeah

Hi
Interesting, thanks for the heads up! -
• #10405
...and is there a price bump associated with the new naming scheme?
Assuming the P lines are the same Ti forks & triangle - any other changes?

That's a bonkers rebranding. Bars bit makes sense, but gears change is crazy.
And what happened to the B line?
-
• #10409
They are, apparently its the A model now, that's the cheapest
-
• #10410
So that funky badge I saw was the new superlight?
-
• #10411
Bars is easy, but SMH couldn’t have been simpler…
Gearing is insane, call a cat a cat and a dog a dog.
Core line just means a Brompton…

is 3sp in this context still sturmey hub gear?
-
• #10413
Yes

My wife is after a new single speed Brompton via cyclescheme.
How would I get one? Ask LBS to convert a 3speed? -
• #10415
Ask or buy a 2 speed and convert

Good price for the A line even factoring in upgrades.

The B75 might still be available in some shops - I hate to use the "H" word but they are your likely source.
And yes the new A Line in white/black has replaced the B75 for 2022. -
• #10421
B75 is sold out of everywhere, has been for months
-
• #10422
Or, the Bay where I got mine from!
-
• #10423
I don't doubt it. Certain stores may still be holding stock not showing online or have their B75 display bikes which they might sell now it's discontinued.

B75s are rubbish.
I have fitted mudguards and folding pedals to no less than a handful of them and brakes too.
Buyers remorse shall I add and they admitted that spending more from the onset would have been the better choice.

B75s aren't rubbish, it makes a new Brompton accessible to people who otherwise coudn't afford one.
now called A line...
