I did actually replace a headlight the other day with the OEM bulb and I can see that it’s slightly less bright than the existing one.

I saw some off-brand LED alternatives. Reckon they are worth a try?

I found that replacing the inner reflective housing made more of a difference than dicking around with bulbs, but honestly lights on older cars are just crap.

Yeah, I did think it was a bit of a waste of time.

Really I just need the second hand V60s to get down in price sooner, although I found myself looking at A5s and A7s, which is probably the start of some kind of crisis.
