WTF 1) how did nobody in TESCOrp. think spending money on this would be worse than some empty shelves?

Wtf 2) did nobody see a resemblance with Potemkin villages, especially in the current context (BREXIT!)

Wtf 3) Why so much asparagus, of all things?

Empty shelves = shortages = panic buying.

Someone else was tweeting pics of a shelf with photographs of items as a scare story but didn't check that the words "please ask for these items at the till" were clearly visible.

Asparagus probably not shoplifted as much as baby formula.
