Maybe misunderstanding the quiz but both my Giulia's were built in Cassino.

The quiz is if you say the good points of the car and not what the car is, like ssangyang selling point was they had a mercedes diesel engine in the EU cars.

yeah it's only a little bit annoying. sorry to hear your Suby getting marked up. cars are just too big these days for the level of driving skills most people have.

I didn't mean it like that, I enjoy watching it. Something semi-light to chill to at the end of the day. But the cars, as with the decor are really interesting and when a new character pops up I'm always interested in what vehicle they give them.

Probably though you could hammer the peaks of the crease while bending it back. You might be lucky.

thanks dude. that's what I kinda figured. also figured there is nothing to lose by giving it a go.

Had to deal with a similar mess on a late model beetle bumper that has similar crease lines. I gently bent it back to the right angle whilst still on the car then took it off and used a wooden block as a former to get the dents out with a mallet. From memory i used thick rubber matt as a shot bag for the hard whacks.

If it's original then definitely worth a go, good luck.

Yes the bumper will bend back, but the chrome finish might crack and the bumper will never be straight. ight be worth while to speak to a re chromer and see what they can do.

Are the people that did the damage paying? Or did they not leave any notes.

£162 on eBay right now for front and rear 126 chrome bumpers, which I suspect will be cheaper than having the current rear bumper fixed and re-chromed.

If they're anything like VW pattern parts i'd do what i could to save the original. Mine was a lot worse and the chrome held on the outside held on fine. If it's painted on the inside that will need redoing.

Ca petrol really is the pits. Got around to having a look at the car yesterday after giving up in disgust 18 months ago and the fuel pump is now dead. Along with the fuel lines. Joy.

FWIW, and I'm not a panel beater so my opinion is not worth much, it looks like the metal has stretched where the bend is - so if you bend the bumper back straight there will be excess material/a hump. You could remove that with a metal shrinker, but that works by clamping onto the metal and pushing it together - which would bugger the chrome.

I'd take it off the car and then hammer it back flat over an anvil of some kind, using a soft-faced hammer, in the first instance. Then go from there.
