    No. It doesn't - physics and that.

    A good (pricier) acrylic bath will be as pretty much solid as a metal one (cheaper ones do have that wobbly plastic feel) but really it's down to aesthetics. We've an OG 60's yellow iron/steel one, a modern boxed in acrylic one and a fancy copper one. All do what baths do TBH.

  • Every source/reference I have read claims otherwise, but you're right, they all get you wet and warm.

  • All the decent plastic baths I have seen seem to need a frame to get that solid feel but then I am looking at sub £200 baths.

    Now a copper bath, that would be very aesthetically pleasing to me.
