If no one has taken this, then it would be perfect for my other half as we have moved and she could do with something that can display routes, so she doesn't have to keep stopping to get her phone out.

It’s yours, I’ll stick it in the post if you PM your address?

Its for running, so that might be tricky :p

Why does she need to stop to get her phone out then?
There's also phone wrist straps...

My Wahoo Bolt side rubber button sealer has ripped, is there a simple fix solution??

There's been some solutions for Garmins posted on here that would likely work. 3D printed button fillers

Yes, I used a normal inner tube patch, cut down, for a garmin button. Right before TCR 2019 in fact, and it survived all the rain on that.

I still haven't fixed my 1000. I just use it on the turbo and turn it on with a pen. :)

Those 3D printed buttons are okay (if expensive). I got one and then whacked a load of silicone over the top to re-waterproof it. Then I gave it to my old man and bought an 830 so I never tried it in the rain.

There were other solutions and I could've DIYd something but I've got two other Garmins anyway so I just leave my 1000 inside.

Is there not a red X bottom left?
-
• #2245
Nope?! I only have the option to:
- Adjust brightness
- backlight timer option
- Tones toggle
- weather report
- lock screen
- lock screen
I have to lock and then unlock the screen to be able to get back home...
- Adjust brightness

As you say, it looks like I'm missing the bottom left icon here:

Pressing in that vicinity does nothing. WEIRD -

You've turned it off and on again? Is there an update for it? Factory reset?

Wahoo bolt power button is falling off, and I really don't fancy adding to the pile of discarded electronics and plastic when it works perfectly fine. What solutions have people got for sticking it back on? I was thinking of glueing it back on with silicone sealant, but will that fuck something else up, electronics wise?

Yep, seems to be a bug in the latest firmware Garmin released before they decided they couldn't be bothered with the 810 any more and just fucked off to screw up other devices they've manufactured.

I did tell the forum years ago the 810 was not fit for purpose. It was the only Garmin that was so bad, after trying two, I sent it back for a full refund.

Do you have no turn by turn directions at all or do you have at least some of them?
How do you add the route to the device?
It all comes to cue sheet basically. It's sort of an additional data that gives information to the device about these turns.
Some route planners generate it automatically, some don't. I just checked it on Komoot but haven't been able to understand whether they show it somewhere or not. I think it doesn't work as good in trails or fire roads, probably there's not enough data.
I also noticed that when you export a gpx file from somebody's route, often times they won't appear. In rwgps there's a "trace" action that will trace the route in the file provided and will add these cue sheets for turn by turn navigation.
