There is a jacket/jersey with a fleece type material inside, my partner has an older version but I'm sure I saw it in the Rapha store when I was in today.

They stock late October, seems they have been putting stuff up as out of stock before they stock recently.
This product will be available late October. Please select your size, sign up for an email and we will notify you when they become available.

Don’t suppose anyone has a Rapha Bar bag in dark purple they no longer want?
-

she has a brushed fleece type softshell but i want something more insulated than that.
@GoatandTricycle
nice but €330 euro.i think rapha brevet or LaPassione are the ideal product they just need to fit well round the middle to maintain a close air gap for the insulation to work.

Sorry own bias kicked in. Personally I’d go with the pro team version, over the Brevet.
I went with the gilets over the jacket as it’s a far more versatile piece. I have both pro team and brevet.
Maap do a similar gilet it would appear. -

Looks like Specialized have two jackets with Polartec Alpha for women - one for road, one for trail. The road one is only available in black. Cafe du Cycliste have a few insulated cycling jackets for women but don't say what the insulation is.

i looked at those early on in my search but your post prompted me to look again and i have found a 2019 jacket in stock, teal size small, perfect colour to match her bike and half price. just checking it’s going to fit...

Pedled do a few alpha jackets but to be honest the castelli alpha ros is the best i have seen.

EVOC Explorer? If its anything like the Trail is has pockets n sections for days.
I was thinking of going for the 20L trail one as i like the sleeve for your helmet on the outside of the bag, 20L of internal space is prob enough for my day to day (at worst some climbing gear for bouldering after work)

The Trail is great. I very rarely wear a backpack on the MTB but when I do I forget its there, real snug with the wide velcro waist strap.
I've used mine for years, a lot on the bike and even more off the bike. Hand luggage on flights etc.
I take the back protector out and a Mac book air fits in there like a glove. Comes with a rain cover, obviously space and fittings for a bladder and lots of sections for tools, glasses etc.
Lovely stuff.

as an aside - was in the edinburgh aesop store recently and saw that that was a collab with r43burn. were you involved in that, user @Chopsicle? love the repurposed parachute material

Just get her a galibier mistral
-
• #36519
Have the specialized thermal Alpha from 2019 on it’s way for the same price, should work well with or without something over the top and a decent base layer (maybe even a Santini Alpha one which is literally a fluffy insulation layer)
Not to say galibier isn’t and good but it’s not insulated in the same way and more a soft-shell, the Columbier is probably closer to what i’m looking for.i fully expect LaPassione or Rapha to have a womens jacket in stock a week after this turns up...

Correction; Definitely this Friday, 10.00am
Aware this is derailing this thread, slightly bad form; enough interest to set up a separate, dedicated thread?
Edit; thank you @Bossman and @andyp appreciated :) clearing the way ahead for the big R, bumping other chatter over here; https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/369405/
Scrying visions from my crystal screen tells me there will be more chat in the coming days.

...you're still a lot quicker than me!

Would this be a good cold/autumn weather combination - longsleeve core jersey + insulated brevet gilet? I already have a longsleeve base layer.
-
• #36525
I use this exact combo a lot all the way through to really cold weather id adding a baselayer underneath. Brevet insulated gilet is the best piece of bike clothing I've bought.
