At least they're dirt-coloured so as to hide the dirt. But 500 bucks? hahaha

Are there things like Anything Cages that will work without fork eyelets? ie. just fit with straps to my carbon Tripster fork.
-
• #6767
I use those versamount things. Bit of innertube around the fork and they stay put.

I was kinda thinking something you could thread Voile straps through, so the bottles/bags didn't stick so far out from the fork blade.
I want to put a cooking setup in it, similar to this:
https://bikepacking.com/gear/vargo-titanium-hexagon-stove-bikepacking/Would be nice if mine had their Range fork..
£400 for a fork though. That's more than half what my whole frameset cost.
Someone else asking the same thing...

I zip-tied a crappy bottle cage to a normal steel fork on my first tour to carry 1 litre of methylated spirit. Lasted 6 months.

I guess for a short trip it's probably no bother but I worry that doing similar will eat through the carbon in pretty short time. (Good excuse to buy that newer fork though :D)

Yeah, that's what I was think of. I've got my tent poles on the downtube already but yeah the widget itself could be strapped around the fork leg I guess and hold the cook kit. If I get one of these skinny Vargo "Bots" it might even fit in my Tangle framebag, and then I don't need it hanging off the forks at all.
The bigger tent we just got has shorter poles (but more sections) so it's possible there will be room in my https://www.beerbabe.co.uk/ourshop/prod_7657067-Hippy-Down-Under-Pack.html to fit some cook gear in there.

I've been thinking of something like this for a while now, coupled with a bag with a fairly stiff backpanel. Wrap of inner tube between the clamp and fork for some grip and paint / carbon protection.

In other news, anyone know where I can find a Revelate Spocket bag? The little mesh bag that goes on top of their Viscacha saddlebags?
