_234248 is that blurry photo's filename (and presumably timestamp).

You can hear someone on the video say "42 47" as Mike rolls back to the postbox so someone must've been keeping an eye on their watch.

Don't his gpx timestamps count? Although easily editable but so is photo exif data.

I think Ralph Dadswell was acting as timekeeper on his own initiative so was probably him. Before Mike came in he noted that there was no-one more appropriate to do it and stepped up.

I assume they will go with Ralph's timing plus a couple of us as witnesses.

Yeah, it was the statue of Rowland Hill - the guy who invented post - which is opposite what was the old Post Office building, which now seems to be a random office block.
