Thanks. We have been talking about swimming. It would be great for my body no doubt and my daughter loves it. But I think it is a bit too time consuming to go there, get changed, swim, change back... Especially with my daughter it would be a bit complicated. My wife commutes and works late these days so all the parenting and cooking is on me right now. What we have been doing instead is that I go to the gym after we've tugged our daughter. @simba has done me a program I follow for core exercises with some warm up to start with.
But it doesn't give me the same satisfaction as cycling does. Mountain biking gives me fitness, fresh air, brain restart and adrenaline in just 1-2 hours of cycling. I really don't like being indoors. And both swimming and gym is indoors.
Tandem or something similar will happen one day
You'll be back on a bike soon enough!
If you can ,
use other sports to maintain stamina.
Swimming was mentioned earlier, kids can always use some time in the water at this age,
you ll be their raft/motor.
Cheat ,use fins!
Walks, runs possible?
Or just build a parent child tandem for our viewing pleasure.
Thanks for all the sharing.
Get well soon.
