GXP does not seem to have bearing preload adjustment

What’s the frame? Brand new or old? Has BB shell been faced?

Any ideas appreicated
1) Spacer(s) and seal(s) installed correctly? Possibly dragging on the crank?
2) New or repainted frame? BB shell faced?
3) Cups installed to proper torque? Shell threads good or need refacing?
4) DS crankset + axle inserted fully? How much axle is protruding out of the NDS? -

Old Bombtrack script frame, hasn't been faced

I have tried with and without the spacers
The axle is fully inserted.
One issue is that the central dust cover is too wide for my frame, when both cups are inserted the threads hang out of the frame.
So using the original dust cover from old crankset which fits fine -

Or the frame's too narrow for the dust cover.
You said in the post above it hasn't been faced, but is this 'ever' or just 'by you'?

I’d start by measuring your BB shell.
Then get rid of the dust covers and see if all fits flush ans smooth. If it does, finish fitting crankset and see what happens.I’d start with the measurement though.

Removed the spacers and removed the dust cover entirely, seems to have done the trick!
Thanks all for the feedback!
Hi all,
I have just fitted a SRAM GXP bottom bracket with a Sram Omnium crankset. Installation of the bottom bracket goes fine until I try to tighten the cranks down.
Somewhere around 50 in. lbs of torque the cranks go stiff and won't spin. I have tried with and without the spacers and the problem persists.
