Ah, lol, good spot and appreciated. I actually rode a bike with them the wrong way around for, well, quite some time and someone kindly pointed out the danger!

In other news someone sawed the pump pegs off at some point, which is a shame, so have a pair of ‘50’s chrome bolt-on ones on the way. Need a nice pump next.
This weekend will also try and free the freewheel cog off and then start cleaning it up.
Only not so good news at the moment is the seatpost appears to be stuck.

I hope this isn't too obvious to be worth mentioning, but it is a safety issue .
The brake shoes in the front caliper are facing the wrong way - the closed end must be at the front.
Nowadays virtually all brake shoes are closed at both ends, so this little point might get overlooked.
