Looks like the UK-AUS trade deal fell through.
Fine by me, bad for GB farmers and they wanted the UK to drop climate change rules.
Also, breaking EU food rules (hormone beef here in 10 years) would make EU single market re-entry very hard.

Never mind. We can do without that now we have New Zealand as a partner. Well. In principle as a partner. Possibly.

I just got called a “fucking foreign cunt”
It leaves me genuinely bemused as to how I feel for a few reasons. 1. I’m actually Scottish, some might say Scottish as fuck. 2. I was on the phone speaking in Hungarian, and my Hungarian is god awful but I guess they found it believable so that’s a bonus. 3. I have a “fucking foreign” daughter now and the idea this is normal is just sad.

this is normal
Always has been
-
• #31009
Yeah? I guessed I’ve been privileged? Until now or naive to not see it.
Has it always been so open?
-
• #31010
Yes.
-I can’t answer for ‘always’, but anecdotal evidence from extended friend group shows every last foreign-looking male and some of the females has received random racist aggression, ranging from being told to speak English to being bashed over the head with a beer bottle while simply walking along.

That’s quite a hard language to learn!
The builder we hire experience this levels of xenophobia on a daily basis.

I knew it existed, I’d be mad not to, but something about it being so open right outside Tesco with people around is what has got me.
-
• #31013
They may have called you a cunt but they are the real cunts. It is little wonder that as a country 'we' voted for Brexit with cunts like that wondering around (and there are a lot of them). Cunts

As I said it’s far from perfect and I still struggle pronouncing egy but I’m conservable in it. I’m fluent in pausing to think of words.
I can’t imagine facing it daily I don’t think I have the temper.

Indeed what I like is it doesn’t affect me at all due to them being wildly off in my nationality I just don’t want anyone to ever hear that and it affect them.

Tip if the iceberg sadly

Sorry @eskay but this is just completely wrong. No one is a cunt. I rather wonder why they feel the need to hate some so much in the first place - as the old adage says, hate breeds hate. So don't feed them please.
Instead, maybe question why we're (you're - I live in France now, but it's not actually that dissimilar here) are such a divided society? That is the real problem I would say... Divided we fall: and we are definitely falling far. How can we repair that? How can we bridge the gaps and work together again? What are the things that mean in fact we're all the same? I assure you, there are many.

Sounds like something a cunt would say.
