Bit late to this, but really nice pedalboard and black russian BMPs are sooo good 👍
How are you finding the Donner PSU? I don't believe they have isolated outputs but is it reasonably quiet? Been looking at those myself.
I'm looking to get back into building myself the odd pedal and creating a small queue of Fuzz Faces (Ge, Si, Axis...) and a (possibly transofrmer-less) Hudson Boradcast clone. Now need time and the odd component and I can finally crack on!

I’m not playing at all, so going to sell a PRS se standard, katana mk2 50w and an audent id4
PRS was bought from guitar guitar with paint chipped off the side of the headstock and down at the join with the body, so will probably look for £275. Katana and audent will be at whatever they normally go for second hand
Let me know if any interest and I’ll post some pics

Anyone want a PedalTrain Metro 16 for £20? Modified with threaded inserts and rubber feet so you can mount a power supply underneath. Already has the Dual Lock tape on top - like Velcro, except it's so strong you struggle to pull pedals off. Bit knocked about but perfectly usable.

Would you be up for posting? Totally understand if it's a no :)

Ta! Yeah, the black Russian muff was my keeper for bass, no annoying fizz and didn't suck the bottom end out. Glad I persevered with the buying/selling game until I came to it.
Yeah, wouldn't have thought they're all isolated outs at that price, but it seems to be OK. Maybe the 500ma is separate from the 100ma? Dunno.
The muff runs from a battery but everything else is plugged in and it seems to be OK, no whistles or weird pops/noises, but some earth hum in the chain. I've got a new set of patch cables now (also Donner) but ran out of servisol contact cleaner... Some of those pedals are pushing a decade of storage, patch cables even longer with visibly tarnished jacks and a cheap amp (Bugera v22) that never stretches its legs so I wasn't expecting a perfect noise floor to start with. That being said, I'd gig it as is - I've engineered for worse. I had a quick "loud front room" blast and it's definitely usable. -

Am I the only one who feels like Precision basses would look incredible with a snakehead headstock every time I see one?

Unlikely to be worth it, honestly. It's big and heavy and not worth all that much.

Someone must have done it!

Non guitar content warning!! One for all you LX fans, I ordered this MONTHS AGO... Came back not right and then a fuse blew! They sent a replacement out but that one was comically too big, Spinal Tap style, so they've got to make me yet another one!!
OH is keeping the huge one for her studio (it's over a metre tall, she LOVES Big Star), this little one will stay in the corner of the front room and the proper 40cm high one will live in my office/studio... Had to share, apologies, my fave band of all time... Three Big Star neons in the same house may be overdoing it tho'! 😂🔫

Thanks, even though this one is a bit wonky it still looks pretty great... I tried to get one made twenty five years ago, I was quoted over a thousand quid so I forgot all about it... This was less than £150!

Oh also I picked up an Acapulco Gold ddistortion pedal not so long back. Sounded like a trebly nightmare until I tried it with a heavily downtuned guitar and suddenly I'm in Red Fang heaven. Great pedal for the stoners.

Bargain. Cheaper than a bog standard family car that’ll last ten years and deprecate to fuck all in the process. Allow it!

That's a lovely photo, Hyde Park? You would've seen my ex-flatmate there as well, he was palling around with him that night... I was livid with him when I found out!!
I met him a couple of times, the first time in 1990 he was in a great mood, I was drunk and took advantage of him and got him to sign five autographs... I shared them around my mates... The second time was when I DJ'd for Big Star at the Astoria in the 00s, he was grumpy and I had a bunch of vinyl for him to sign... He'd clued up by this point and would only sign one item so I picked out my Peabody copy of Like Flies on Sherbert... Hoisted by my own petard!!
Jody signed a Big Star promo photo I had and my Celluloid copy of Third, he's so lovely... I didn't have the heart to ask him to sign more...
I'm exactly the kind of fan Alex would've hated that totally mythologises those three records... I'm okay with that, I know many more just like me! ☺️

Picked up a first edition of ‘The Guitar Handook’ by Ralph Denver (1982) yesterday in FB marketplace book bundle. Wow. Thank goodness for YouTube. I’m not sure I’d have got anywhere with a few words and pictures.
Not sure - I use jumbo frets and 10’s, so I don’t really touch the fretboard when I’m playing. I used it on the back of the neck though, and it feels great.
