I believe it’s the same as the mens; so World Tour teams at the top of the pyramid, who get guaranteed entry to all WT races, then Pro teams who are the second tier and expected to race an international calendar, then Continental teams at the bottom, most of whom ride a domestic calendar with the odd race in another country.
Thanks. Why do they have different layers to the pyramid? And how do you move up (or down)? I started following Valcar recently...they're not at the top level, yet they have the current world road champion and several members of the Italian team for the track worlds.
