I confirm the attached set up worked quite well on my test on the motorbike yesterday.
3 hours, 13 celsius, lots and lots of rain, and 100 kmph worth of windchill. Slightly chilly finger tips in the end, but nice and dry. Using the controls was i bit more fiddly, but not too bad.
I will switch the middle component from vented summer gloves to normal lined gloves during the winter (bicycle) commutes.The outer mittens are british army issued and supposedly gore tex.

There are various army surplus goretex extreme weather gloves.
These came up in a search, I’ve never tried them I have some German issue ones.
