You could make it non-triangle shape and have it go from where you have the end of the zip currently to the N on Kona, leaving just space for the bottle, then get a side loading bottle cage

I've been putting my bottles in the frame bag, which has worked out well, and also keeps them nice & clean
Partly because I didn't consider Camelbak bladder size when measuring out my bag...

Planning a small frame bag for the Kona, I contemplated going for a big one like dammit's and drinking from a bladder but I prefer bottles and will just make a big one for longer rides when I feel the need. And I want to do an experiment on this one so it'd be better to cock up on a small bag rather than wasting heaps of material.
