I do wish they'd gone for a longer women's tour right away, and not such short stages, but I find it encouraging to see one that's 175km, which is at least a decent length. I'm also not sure the back-to-back format will work, but I guess that to run the men's and women's tours roughly concurrently, they'd need twice the equipment, e.g. start/finish infrastructure, which may be some time before it can get financed.
