  • When I did my ACL and meniscus I should have been able to get back to good fitness within a year but instead I lost the various psychological battles and ended up putting on 20KG of lard

    MCL and 15kg, but I'm in the same place right now.

  • Keep going and don't over do it. One big thing for me was really watching what I ate. I changed my diet totaly to keep weight off, I went totaly vegan while I was recovering which I have kept up at about 80/90%.
    I understand thats not for everyone but being aware of what your putting in your body helps a bit.

    Good luck don't get to down it does get better you juat have to keep chipping away.

  • Yeah, that was my intention too when I got back to the UK (did my ACL skiing on a glacier in Switzerland therefore getting home took a bit of time and a logistical effort).

    I managed to eat well for about four days before the "fuck its" started to happen.
