What I did today that was different was that I took the lever off the bar and constantly varied the angle whilst pumping/flicking the lever, or tapping the body of the lever. I continued to do this for as long as the bubbles streamed out of the bleed port. This took a surprisingly long time- right toward the end the lever feel changed dramatically, firmed right up and the bite point abruptly pushed outward.
It felt great on test ride, and I think what I will do is to ride it (report back on the new suspension) and then pull the lever off and Magura rapid-bleed/lever bleed it again, just to get the very last of the air out (there’s a tiny but noticeable difference in sharpness between the front and the rear, but I can for the first time with these brakes see how I can get them where I want them).
Oh, and I had a mild vacuum applied to the lever by pulling the plunger of the syringe to just below the hole at the 30ml point.
