  • Thought all my questions would be answered in this thread but alas nothing but a bare cupboard. Surely someone somewhere must no a bit more about the show. Any clips online? I tried searching on youtube but nothing.

  • I'm not old enough to remember the pink muddy fox, or that it had yellow graphics, or that it ended up in the drink at some point cos Angel didn't look after her bikes properly. sorry.

Yo - mf had one of those - got nicked from outside a shop I think - I coveted that damn bike!

I had a red Streetfinder - heavy as fook - wishbone stay, that got nicked too - but then I did only buy it for an Henry, so what goes around.....

  • knew you were gonna pop up on any thread about MF s, ha!
anyway check it out yeah I bought that bike which was obviously nicked from Fitzy, caned it for a while, then swapped it for a mint pathfinder from a bloke at work.....all because there were a few bits needing adjustment ...ha ha ha ha ha the folly, the fat tubed alu welds were sick!
an henry, all that mattered in them days eh?

  • How come the veritable Muddy Fox name has become synonymous with POS cheapness? Shame

I bought mine from Joe Cahill. He probably nicked it off Fitzy in the first place!

  • because people have got short memories, and er, after the name got sold and they relaunched they were lcd bikes without the kudos and coolasfucknames of the originals.
wouldn’t wanna ride one now though would you?

  • muddy foxes were great, really wanted a courier when i was a poor muso...

    £5000 ???????????!

  • its like the Kleins, folks get all misty eyed and distant about them,
yeah lush paint jobs but compared to todays rides, ....supermarket trolleys handle singletrack better....

  • That's hilarious.

  • todays bikes have made it all too easy though.
back then you had to be a good rider to make it through rides in one piece.
    grumble

you damn right there, the rider has bike handling skills, not the bike.
a bad rider on a tricked out bike remains exactly that.

  • its like the Kleins, folks get all misty eyed and distant about them,

Would still much rather have a Klein than a ltd edition Muddy Fox. Seriously gold plated mountain bikes!

  • yeah they look good on stands at events.

  • We were just talking about this show again. Can't find any vids but one Dutch sub-titled one.

Also reminded me of Double Rush, a USA bike courier sitcom:

  • My nostalgia had obviously blocked out how bad the acting was, but this episode is worth it for the whole 'phone clone' thing... Oh if only they knew how bad it would really get! 😂

Also worth it to see a one legged Alan Johnson from Peep show! 😁

  • Oh, and the shot of Mosquito bikes!

  • I don't remember that at all!

  • "phone clone" is hilarious.

  • Andy Serkis was the best character as the Sax playing, busking courier 'Owen'.
