I witnessed a pawn brokers get done over in Brixton with a firearm not that many years ago. Pulled off with very effective Snatch style disguises.
5 mins down the road about 7 plain clothes cops came at them from every angle. csb

Jewellers well protected.
CCTV / alarms / safe / panic button etc.
Vehicles generally have anti theft devices / trackers etc.
A 5 / 10 K crabon biek can be serial scrubbed and made untraceable in an ebay auction near you.
They hit a guy with a brand new crabon dale. They know what they are doing. Selective.
Bike theft is as old as the hills. The price inflation has just made them moving targets.
Easy money.

It seems pretty dumb. If you're going to go to the trouble of getting tooled up to rob people, why not get a fucking jewellery store or a betting shop or a posh bar or something decent. No one wants some crashed arsed old bike
