Yeah, obvs start at 6Nm, don't blame me if it explodes. Get the safety goggles on

Plane Jane Shimano may not be as sexy or rare as Magura but you are likely to have a functioning bike more of the time.
... or just buy some TRPs and have something weird and uncommon that works...

Mine have also been blissfully quiet
I wonder what the DH-R EVOs are like

Which ones?

I've got Quadiem G-Spec on my Capra and going to get Slate G-Spec on future short travel trail build. They're really excellent, very much trouble free and they look superb, lovely machining and finish!

Cool and how do they compare to Shimano XT? I mean they are quite cheap at Trition cycles
I have some XT for my upcoming MTB but considering splashing out on Hope... and now maybe these -

They're the best brakes I've tried although I haven't tried current XT but I'm so pleased with TRP I have no interest in trying them either.

Sounds exciting. I don't mind how Shimano levers feel tho. My current MTB is with SRAM Level TL (which was given to me by the author of this thread <3 which means it is not a thread derail) and they have been absolutley trouble free. I have not had to do anything to them yet other than change pads... Thanks Neil...

Neil, order yourself those decathlon trousers and jacket. Just received mine, they are so good I’m ordering another set.
-
• #5487
These sound very good indeed, might also cop a pair!
-
• #5488
Do it. The trousers are a mad bargain.
I’m gonna wait and see how waterproof the jacket is while riding but I reckon I’ll order another in a size down for normal riding. -

Gave the pads a sand and cleaned the rotor but they’re just not coming back round- they’re bringing the bike gently to a stop on a mild slope.

Does the syringe screw or press in to the lever?
Is it possible air is coming in at the point where the syringe connects to the lever? Dodgy seal at that point?
You have used these syringes quite a lot (lol) so maybe seal on the syringe has degraded.
Your perseverance with these is astonishing :)

Trying something new this time- bleeding the lever off the bar. Tapping it does flush out a lot of bubbles- maybe I should buy Tijmens Jiggler.

Are you going camping in Bracknell?

Early days, but bleeding the lever off the bike might be the missing part of the bleeding process that I've been looking for.

Magura spares on the go?

Don't people ride the Great divide with less luggage?

They probably don't consider it important to have both a soup and dessert spoon on their travels.

Savages
It's an easy enough thing to try, and a logical thing to do first I think.
